The U.S. Department of State has announced a $10 million reward for information leading to the seizure of proceeds tied to money laundering from Burma’s Tai Chang crypto scam network. The operation, which targeted Americans through fraudulent crypto investment schemes, is now under scrutiny by the FBI and Department of Justice.

Tips will be handled by the FBI, with guarantees of confidentiality for informants. Government employees are ineligible for the reward. The initiative follows recent DOJ charges against two Chinese nationals linked to scam compounds in Burma and Cambodia.
